A chat panel for any web page

Less skimming.
More knowing.

pagebot opens on top of any site, reads the page, your highlighted text, or a screenshot, and answers in a second.

📌 pagebot
Drag the button to your bookmarks bar.
What it does

One panel. Every page.

Everything it needs is already on your screen. pagebot reads it, so you can just ask.

01Page

Reads the page

Sends the page text once per chat, so follow-ups stay cheap, and marks the passages it used. Click one to jump to it on the page. Anything you highlight goes along too.

02Screenshots

Sees what you see

Captures the whole tab, or drag a box over just the part you mean. The panel hides itself first. You can also paste any image.

03Web

Searches the web

Turn on web search when the page isn't enough, and answers come with their sources.

04Models

Haiku or Sonnet

Haiku 5.5 for quick answers, Sonnet 5.5 when it needs more thought. One click to switch.

05Panel

Room to read, easy to move

It opens at about half your window, with a comfortable reading column. Drag it anywhere, resize it, dock it to the side, or shrink it to a pill, and pick from fourteen themes, including pixel-art Pond and Orbit and see-through Glass and Clear.

06Access

You decide who's in

Runs on your own server behind passwords or 5-digit passcodes. Friends can ask for an account, and you accept them, set their daily limit, and post announcements in /admin.

Install

Up and running in a minute.

  1. Show your bookmarks bar with Ctrl+Shift+B (Cmd+Shift+B on Mac).
  2. Drag the green 📌 pagebot button at the top of this page onto it.
  3. On any page, click the bookmark. Click it again to hide it, or press Esc.
  4. Sign in once per site. New people create an account and wait to be accepted. If you set a passcode, the panel unlocks with it after that.

Can't drag? Paste it in by hand

Create a new bookmark and paste this as its URL. Some sites block overlays; on those, pagebot opens in a small window instead.
